2008 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Schedule

The full schedule for the 2008 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour just as the first leg is wrapping up, and we have it here! The 2008 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour is a one of kind series of events taking poker players across the UK to a number of casinos (run by – you guessed it! Grosvenor), blending the local pub league flavor with high society poker settings.

The first event took place in Brighton and wrapped up on January 20th. Jullian Thew was the winner there, something he is accustomed to doing. This is his second Grosvenor UK Poker Tour victory, after winning leg 8 in 2007 (and after which he went on to win a Europen Poker Tour title in Baden.)

Each of the events on the GUKPT calander runs about a week, with multiple events running from £100 - £500 and leading up to the main event for each leg. Winners of all the preliminary events get the cash for their victory but they also get a shot in the £75,000 Champion of Champions tournament. This event – which all the main event winners also get to attend – will take place after the end of the GUKPT run in December.

In addition to the brick and mortar live events GUKPT sponsor Blue Square Poker will have an online leg.
