21 YEAR OLD JOE CADA WINS WSOP FINAL TABLE
21 Year Old Joe Cada became the latest sensation in the world of poker by outlasting an assortment of players, including one considered to be the best in the world, and took home a mere $8,547,042 for his trouble. This year's WSOP Final table actually played out several months after the event ended during the summer and the remaining players were referred to as the November Nine. Cada was heads up against Maryland logger Darvin Moon and found himself chasing the chip leader early on in their duel. The key hand during the day, according to many observers, was when Cada called Moon's all-in bet during a period when Moon had been exerting a tremendous amount of authority. The 21 year-old made the right call as his pair of tens bested Darvin Moon's busted straight draw. Cada assumed the chip lead on that hand. Shortly after that, Cada had been called on an all-in holding a pair of nines. Moon turned over QD and JD and didn't catch any helpful overcards. Moon had been catching a lot of luck during the tournament and it looked as though he was having one last go to see if it caught up to him. He played well and was rewarded with luck when he needed it, and Darvin Moon will feel as though he had a great tournament. And he'll surely be back. His multi-million dollar payout probably helps a bit. The future looks bright for young Joe Cada, a young poker professional who has achieved so much despite just being able to order himself a beer.
