Bodog Launches 2008 WSOP Qualifiers

Online poker room and "lifestyle community" Bodog Poker has recently announced the launch of their 2008 WSOP qualifiers, giving their players an opportunity to play the big time of poker for a fraction of the price.

The poker room, which boasts plenty of "live the poker lifestyle" advice from super wealthy owner Clavin Ayre, already had three big time WSOP players on staff, and would be happy to add a few more from their series of qualifiers.Bodog Poker Pros include Josh Arieh, Eveyln Ng and David Williams, the "rat pack" of poker.

So what are the odds of you picking up a seat to the 2008 World Series of Poker? Pretty good if you consider the number of seats up for grabs.

As of now Bodog is guarantying at least three prize packages worth $12,000 to be awarded every week – putting the total between now and the kick off of the WSOP up around 120.

These seats are available to the winners of Main Event Satellites, which have a direct buy in of $250. Considering the seats go for $10,000 and the prize package is for $12,000, this is a super deal. Consider that you can qualify up the ladder via feeders and eventually win a seat for only a $1 investment, and it goes way beyond a super deal.

Last year's winner of the World Series of Poker main event was Jerry Yang, a father of six and a psychologist from California. Yang has been criticized for being a mostly absent "Face of Poker" – can you do better?
