When Day Four ended at the World Poker Tour Championship Phil “Poker Brat” Hellmuth’s two day run as chip leader had come to an end. Having slipped down near the bottom of the pack, the chances that this WSOP champion would also become a WPT Champion have dwindled, but not disappeared.
Another former WSOP champion, Carlos Mortenson, also surrendered a top ten berth but remains in the running. Of not in the event is Paul Wasicka, who took second to Jamie Gold in last year’s WSOP, won the WSOP Tournament of Champions, and is having a very good year so far. Day Five will conclude with the final six players to compete for the championship title.
