It's nice to have a map. When you are going somewhere new and are perhaps a little unsure, having a well drawn, easy to understand map is a great comfort. The same is true for clear instructions that accurately tell you what to expect. That's exactly what the PokerRoomSchool Play Guide does for you- show you the way; perfect for first time online poker players!
PokerRoomSchool is all about CDPoker, and they are very through in explaining what you will encounter at the tables at this online poker site. The Play Guide is broken up into four sections, each going over what you will see and what your options are—as well as what is expected of you—when you sit down to a virtual table at CDPoker.
1. At the poker table
2. Options at the poker table
3. Fixed Limit Hold'em or No Limit Hold'em
4. Practice makes perfect
The first option, "At the poker table", shows you screenshots of a typical CDPoker table and then goes over what you see. At the end of this section you will be familiar with the table and how to join a game.
The second, "Options at the poker table", explains just that. How to call, check, raise or fold- even how to get more chips to the table if you were to run out. (It does happen!)
The third option, "Fixed Limit Hold'em or No Limit Hold'em", explains the differences in these game types and how they impact you at the table, and the fourth option, "Practice makes perfect" shows you what the lobby section looks like and how to use it.
If you've used an online poker room before, you won't encounter anything new hear, although a cursory once-over wouldn't hurt. If you are new to the idea, this is a fantastic resource to be used to help you get comfortable at the tables. And if you aren't comfortable, you can't win!
