ECOOP Starts Next Week

The European Championship of Online Poker is the latest in the very popular online poker series that gives events like the WSOP and the WPT a run for their money, and the very first ECOOP starts next week.

With a number of online poker rooms likeTitan Poker (read our Titan Poker room review here) playing host to the ECOOP, there should be a lot of traffic, building up the prize pools. Like many other online poker series before it, the European Championship of Online Poker will run multiple events with guranteed prize pools.

In events like this it can be tough to know what to hope for. If there are fewer players that show up and pay the buy in, then your odds get better and your investment gets better (because of the overlay the poker room has to pay out to meet the guarantee.) If, however, a lot of players show up, then the guarantee might be topped up and over, so you are winning more if you win…of course, with more players,winning becomes more difficult.

Either way the first of the ten days series is next Friday, November 30th, when the ECOOP kicks off with a $200 No Limit Hold'em freezeout poker event with a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000. There are a few neat games to be played over the two weeks, including a short handed game and an Omha Hi Lo, and the final event has a guaranteed prize pool of $1 Million.
