EPT Scandinavian Open

The European Poker Tour Scandinavian Open is going to be held at the Casino Copenhagen in Denmark January 17th-20th 2007.

The EPT Series 3 Scandinavian Open is a 4 day Texas Hold'em No Limit tournament with an expected first prize of more than 4m Danish Kroner (approx. €525,000) and a total prize pool of nearly 14m Dkk (approx. €1.8 million).

There wil be two 'Day 1' flights, both starting at 2pm - Day 1a on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 and Day 1b on Thursday, January 18, 2007. Registration will open at 12am each day.

Magnus Petersson, a 29-year-old financial advisor from Stockholm, beat off competition from some of the best poker players in the world to win more than four million Danish Kroner (approximately €`550,000) at this year's European Poker Tour tournament in Copenhagen. Petersson won his €5,000 seat for the event in a $475 PokerStars online satellite tournament.

Children should not play poker. But it would help if the casinos didn't turn their poker rooms into playgrounds. There were more see-saws, yo-yos, slides, swings and roundabouts on the final table of EPT Copenhagen than in all the Toys R Us warehouses around the world.
