Irish Open Full Schedule Released

With Paddy Power Poker Irish Poker Open coming up Easter Time poker players have been keen to get their eyes on the official schedule – an official schedule we just happen to have. The 2008 Irish Open festival will kick off March 19th, 2008.

The main event, which boasts a record €3 Million Guaranteed, will get started the next day and run through March 24th. Final table players who made their way there via Paddy Power Poker will get an extra boost – follow up seats for the next Irish Open and in some cases beyond.

The main event has a buy in of €4,500 buy, and with the guarantee that means that the very least a bloke can expect to win by conquering the field will be a healthy €800,000.

There are some other fun events to try besides the main event; there will be a first ever Irish Open Ladies event, a €1,500 No Limit Holdem Freezeout and a Pot Limit Omaha Rebuy. Another new event, the Double Chance Scalp, will wrap up the Irish Open the same day as the final table of the main event.

Paddy Power Poker is once again sponsoring this event, which is the longest running pro poker event outside of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, USA. This is also one of the largest – and certainly the most prestigious – of poker events to take place in Europe, a distinction held in the face of all the growing competition from the European Poker Tour and other groups.
