Jason Lester Profile

Backgammon is becoming more and more popular nowadays, with organizers and fans trying to teach it to the table of poker, which continues to exceed expectations in popularity in revenue.  From the beginning there has been backgammon players who became well-known poker professionals, such as Paul Margeil and Gus Hansen, but then there's also Jason Lester.

Lester, who has lived in major metropolitan areas such as Miami, New York City, in Los Angeles, is known as an exceptional backgammon player who has won many a tournament in the "game of kings."  He proved his Poker prowess, however, with a fourth-place finish at the famous 2003 World Series of Poker final table.  Despite 10 in the money finishes at the time, he could not secure a coveted WSOP bracelet, that is until his money finishes grew to 18 and a 2006 World Series poker.  There he took first place at 32, a pot limit hold them event, picking him up over $500,000 and push his career winnings over $1.3 million.
