22 year old Justin Scott came from Detroit, MI to Las Vegas to play poker. He decided early on he wasn’t going to let the pros bully him if he could help it, and he managed to stick to that during the three days of the $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em event. He took his two years of poker playing experience and made the most of them, using a strategy that worked well for him in the past. He played a bit loose on day one, tightened up on day two, and then loosened up a little again towards the end of the event, but turned the aggression on full blast. Within 20 minutes of day one’s start he had tripled his stack, then nearly lost it all. He built it back up so by the time he was entereing the final table on day three, he had over a million in chips. He knew at that point he was going to win.

The pivotal point for him was a hand were his pocket threes held up versus two players with overcards, eliminating oen of them. At that point it was a forgone conclusion, and the 22 year old Scott took his first WSOP bracelet and a monster first prize of  $842,262.
