Introducing Absolute Poker 8.0

Absolute Poker has been around for a while, and they keep updating their software to show that they are still learning what makes poker players happy. The latest update, Absolute Poker 8.0, offers resizable tables, faster card dealing and more.

With the eight version of the Absolute Poker software things continue to improve. The site has always been efficient and user friendly, if a bit bland in some areas. It seems that the developers of this latest version set out to enhance the game play (which, after all, is why we log on and play, right?) in a number of significant ways.

The emphasis this time round is on customization. You've always been able to upload your own images for avatars at Absolute, which was always a nice way to express yourself. Nothing like facing down a shark at the table…or a puppy…or someone's favorite sports team. Just as important, you could also block avatars for those that were a bit too unpleasant- like your rival sports team.

Now the customization refers to what you can do with the tables, and it all supports multi-table play very well. The first improvement is the resizing function for the tables. Just like you would do with any window in your browser, you can grab the corner of the table window and drag to resize. If before you could JUST fit two tables on your screen, but they overlapped, you can now adjust one or both to make them fit just so.

In addition there are three different table views to chose from, adjusting the placement of file menu items and action-buttons, and there are even new menus all together to provide yet more options.
