It looked as if Jennifer Harman was going to be the first poker player in the world to pick up a World Series of Poker bracelet out side of the United States, but it wasn't to be so. Despite a huge chip lead and a commanding game, that honor was given to Thomas Bihl, who managed to wrest the crown from Harman and win the first ever WSOP Europe event.

When day two was about half way over Chris Ferguson was at the bottom of the pack, but the man in the black cowboy hat surged forward and made the final table. In fact, hefinished in fourth place, followed by Kirk Morrison, a fellow who had dropped out of thepoker scene for longer than many of the young guns have been playing he game, andcame back with a vengeance this year, cashing in four repeat WPT events, and taking third in this one.

Here are the final table results:

1st  Thomas Bihl £70,875
2nd  Jennifer Harman £40,688
3rd  Kirk Morrison £26,250
4th Chris "Jesus" Ferguson £21,700
5th  Alex Kravchenko £17,850
6th  Yuval Bronshtein £14,438
7th  Joe Beevers £11,812
8th  Gary Jones £9,188

In other WSOP Europe news day two of the second event of the season, the Pot Limit Omaha tournament, raged on. Players were spotted on day one of the PLO event that had busted out early from the HORSE event, such as David Williams, Tony G, Johnny Chan Humberto Brenes, Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth and Jamie Gold.

It wasn't long before many of these players fell by the wayside as well. Only one made it all the way to the end of day two, Tony G, who found a place at the final table.

Here are the final table seats and starting chip counts for the race to own the second WSOPE bracelet.
