David Levi Profile

At fist glance, you might assume David Levi was the magician you would be going to see that night at the casino, after the tournament was over. The long hair, the big stage grin it's something about his appearance that suggests he would have a commanding, theatrical presence. It may have something to do with being a former pro soccer player (or football, for the non-Americans). Nah, its likely just the hair. But while he won't be linking any rings for the Las Vegas tourists, he certainly does belong in a casino, raking in tournament win after tournament win. He has the distinction of being the first winner in the first poker tournament held at the Bellagio, among other things.

David is a very successful tournament player, learning from mistakes so that he does not have to repeat them. Now, it is expected that a good poker player would learn from his mistakes, but David goes a bit beyond that and learns from watching other people make mistakes. A Las Vegas resident, David comes from Israel by way of Los Angeles, where he used to room with another very successful tournament pro, Amir Vahedi. In 2003 he had a whopping 12 final table appearances, Among them were a third place and a first place finish in 7 Card Stud at the California State Poker Championship, as well as a first in 7 Card Stud at the Legends of Poker.

David has placed first in Omaha High/Lo at the Grand Slam of Poker, and placed in all the versions of Texas Hold'em; No Limit, Limit and Pot limit. He has a had a few wins already in 2006, and the likelihood of him appearing at a final table near you is very high.
