After battling it out for 9 hours 35 minutes, a new player from Germany playing under the id "davin77", outlasted 5123 other players to take down the first event at FTOPS X at Full Tilt Poker. He won $195,757.30 for his efforts.

What makes this win special and extra ordinary is that this was davin77's first ever tournament at Full Tilt Poker. Online poker circles are abuzz with discussions regarding the probability of a player winning a major tourney without ever have played on that online poker room ever before.

Just like Chris Moneymaker, who qualified through online satellite to his first WSOP and won it, this win by "davin77" is sure to give a big push to online poker.

FTOPS X is sure to throw many more surprises as it goes on. The surprising factor is the disappointing performance of the Full Tilt pros at this event. None of the pros managed to make it to the top 100 with Aaron Bartley being the best of them all at 225th position to earn himself $563.64.

Two times FTOPS champion, "Halfrek" from Denmark finished in 9th position. None of the chip leaders, "imabigkidnow" and "fagi" going into final 18 managed to hold on to their lead in the end.

Here are the final standings:
