Doyle Finds Player 6 of 10 - Steve Gross

DoylesRoom have now signed up their 6th place as part of the Brunson 10.  Steve Gross, aka gboro780, has become the latest member of the team.

Gross has an incredible online record, earing over $1.2 million in 2009 alone and the Player of the Year accolade.

Doyle Brunson was impressed by Gross, he said; "Steve’s record speaks for itself. Player of the year in 2009, on his way to another one this year, the kid is unbelievable."

Gross, still only 24 years old, has over $3 million is career earnings to date and certainly looks to be one of poker's brightest stars of the future.  He managed to secure the 2009 OPOY (Online Playr of the Year) honours by winning 21 tournaments throughout the year, including a 2nd place finish at a $500 buy-in event on Full Tilt for $126,506, 1st place at a $300 buy-in FTOPS event for $275,000, and a 2nd place finish at a $3,000 Mixed Hold’em event at

PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) for $128,000. Gross is currently leading the OPOY race once more in 2010.

Gross joined PokerStars after losing several $50 buy-ins on PartyPoker over five years ago.  He has since gone on a remarkably journey to success after racking up multiple MTT results.  But, as Steve explains, the MTT professional's life is not an easy one; "Playing tournaments really wears on you. The best players cash in 15-20% of their tournaments, so you have to be able to accept failure."

Steve Gross joins Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis, Zachary “Crazy Zachary” Clark, Amit “amak316” Makhija, Chris “Moorman1” Moorman, and Dani “ansky” Stern as the other current members of the Brunson 10.
