Norwegian poker ace, Eirik Bjourklund earned his place at the Captain's table last night after cruising to victory in the Ladbrokes Poker Cruise Main Event and landing a first prize of $375,000.
The pizza chef from Nordreissa and king of the seas, commented on his victory: "It's my twenty-third birthday in a couple of weeks and this is the best present I could have asked for. As soon as I get back to Norway, I'll be heading straight for the Porsche showroom."
The cruise winner qualified for the Caribbean adventure through a $100 satellite at Ladbrokespoker.com, Europe's busiest poker site. Eirik added: "$375,000 from an initial investment of $100 is a pretty good return. Lets hope my form continues at the World Series of Poker in Vegas."
