Johnny Chan

Ten time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and two time WSOP champion Johnny Chan has come out with a new energy drink aimed at poker players, and he is offering a poker tournament as a reward for trying out the drink.

Named "All In", the energy drink comes in three flavors; Citrus, Grape and Root Beer, and boasts of no carbs or sugar and plenty to keep a poker player alert and focused on the table, and even claims some health benefits from the ingredients.

The site, AllInEnergy.com, is now advertising a tournament contest for those who place drink orders. Each order earns the buyer a number of virtual chips, and the top 1,200 chip stacks will receive an invitation to play in a $500,000 guaranteed poker tournament.

The Invitation only ALL IN Energy Drink Poker Tournament will be held twice a year, according to the site, and will be attended by someof the top pro players in Vegas. For every pro player that gets knocked out the player who busted them will be awarded a $1,000 bounty in addition to whatever moneys they win in the event.

The top 20 chip counts will get additional awards, including VIP Travel & Accommodations. There will be an additional 200 seats awarded as part of a sweepstakes, which has no purchase necessary to participate.

Johnny Chan won the World Series of Poker in 1987 and did it again in 1988 in what is now a famous heads up match with Eric Siedel, having been featured in the poker movie Rounders. Chan would have made history as the first player to win three WSOP main event tournaments back to back in 1989 if it wasn't for the "Madison Kid", Phil Hellmuth. A rivalry was born in that event which continues to this day. Hellmuth currently has the lead over Chan and Doyle Brunson in WSOP bracelets at 11 to their 10.
