Main Event Day 1B, Dempsey Leads Brit Pack

Day 1B started with 1489 and 1021 will return on Friday for Day 2.

James Dempsey, who won Event #9: $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em just four weeks ago, leads the pack of Brits going through to Day 2.

Joining him there will be Roland De Wolfe who last year became the second player ever to score a hat-trick of EPT, WPT and WSOP titles. Ben Vinson, Roberto Romanello and Julian Gardner also made it through with healthy stacks.

However, Sam Trickett, Liv Boeree and 2006 champion Jamie Gold were among the casualties.

A fair share of Brits finished the day with improvements to their starting stacks of 30,000:
