There are 21 players remaining from the 54 that entered in the $50,000 Player’s Championship at the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Leading the way is familiar face, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, who is in possession of 1.48 million chips entering Day 4 of the event. Just behind him in the chip count is Russian Vladimir Schmelev who has a 1.43 million chip stack. Michael’s brother, Robert Mizrachi, is sixth in the chip count.
Many big names busted during the six levels of poker played during Day 3 including Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Scotty Nguyen, Scott Clements, Scott Siever, Jeffrey Lisandro and the defending HORSE champion David Bach.
The remaining players include online poker players Brett Richey and David “Bakes” Baker and poker pros such as Andy Bloch, 2008 WSOPE Main Event champion John Juanda, 2010 National Heads-up Poker Championship runner-up Erik Seidel and WPT co-founder Lyle Berman. They will all be returning for Day 4 of the event tomorrow and play down to the final table where they will be battling it out for the top prize of $1,559,043. The top 16 players will cash with a minimum payout of $98,000.
