Dan Nassif : How is this for a dream conversation, “Hello, boss? Yeah, it’s me. Say, I know I said I was going to be back from vacation tomorrow, but it looks like I’ll need a few more days. Why? Well, it seems that I’m going to have to stick around and be on TV. Oh, nothing really…it’s just that I’m playing in the final table at the WSOP”
Michael Binger: Is it really fair to have a doctor of physics sitting across from the table when competing in a game of the mind? I suppose the fact that Michael Binger only recently earned that title might make a little more fair, but this Stanford University graduate had plenty of poker skills to back up his academic competence.

Jamie Gold : All right, come on, let's hear them. Now's the time to get in all the ideas for Poker nicknames before Jamie Gold ends up on the World Poker Tour, where co-host Vince Van Patten is sure to throw out half a dozen, and we don't want any of those sticking, now do we? I'll get us started: Jamie "The Midas Touch" Gold; "Goldfinger"; Jamie "Golden Boy"; "Hollywood Gold" -- hey, this is pretty easy!
Paul Wasicka : You could see it on his face during the live ESPN coverage of the 37th annual World Series of Poker main event final table -- Paul Wasicka knows how to schmooze. At least it seemed that way when, during his introduction, the announcer said that when asked what he would want the world to know about him Paul said that he has the best friends and family anyone could ever ask for. The look on his face said it all, "yeah, that's right, I'm a millionaire, but I've already paid you in complements..."
Celebrities are people too -- this is an idea that is often bandied about in Hollywood rags and "feel good" stories about movie stars. In fact, it is true, but is hard to remember when those people are driving hundred thousand dollar cars through Beverly Hills will you take the bus home and worry the whole way if you paid your light bill. So it is with some visceral enjoyment that we get to watch the celebrities try their hand at the main event of the 37th annual World Series of Poker and see that -- hey, they really are regular people making regular mistakes that we laugh at.
Eric Froehlich : How must it feel, to not only win your first World Series of Poker bracelet, but in doing so be declared the youngest players ever to wear one? At 21 years and 3 months of age, it happened to Eric Froehlich. Part of the crowd that included David Williams, Eric showed the poker world that youngsters can play, and win, at the highest levels. At such a young age, Eric figured his record would stand for a while, and it did…until at 21 years, 1 month, Jeff Madsen broke the record 12 months later.
Eric Kesselman : This 32 year old poker player from New York, New York needed to 16th place during the world poker tour event, an excellent accomplishment for most poker players who are new to the arena of professional tournament poker. When Eric Kesselman sat down the plane of that number 18 during the 2006 World Series of Poker, an excellent accomplishment was not in store but rather a dominating performance that led to a first-place finish in over $300,000.
Farzad Rouhani : How can you overcome a 13 to one chip deficit? For Farzad Rouhani playing in the 37th annual World Series of Poker, the answer was, "you can't." A bracelet wasn't in the cards, so to speak, for Farzad but rather a second-place finish in $400,000 payday.

Pamela Anderson and poker -- for many fans of the game it sounds like a dream come true. The blonde buxom Baywatch babe has been showing up lately in the world of poker, possibly drawn like a moth to the flame to the game as are many of today's celebrities; although in this case it may be more like putting a match to gasoline.
So, it turns out that Titans are truthful giants, as evidenced by Titan Poker recently paying out $35,000 to the winner of their online sit and go jackpot promo, the "Rio." I've posted about this promo previously, and welcome this opportunity to be accurate about the poker room's promo. Naturally, I was afraid as questioning whether or not Titan Poker would really give away the money for fear of being fraud under a size 300 quintuple E sneaker.
