Phil Ivey is back in action on the online felt and has been on one major heater over the last week, bagging over $1 million online.
Playing under the online name “Polarizing” he has taken the high stakes tables by storm, playing a variety of games and opponents, while continuing to come out ahead of the game.
In particular, he took on a Fixed Limit Omaha Hi Lo specialist Kyle Ray, known as “KPR16” online. He won almost $200,000 over two sessions against KPR16.
He’d then switch up games and take his chances at the $2,000/$4,000 Triple Draw 2 – 7 over a marathon six hour session against a number of top flight opponents including Viktor “Isildur1” Blow, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond, Hac “trex313” Dang, “thecortster” and the Macau based player “samrostan”. At the end of it, Ivey would bag over $275,000.
A few days later, Ivey would then take him skills over the giant $1,500/$3,000 8-Game tables where he won just under $200,000.
Ivey would continue at the 8-Game tables a few days later, taking on the likes of Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, Hac Dang and others. He would only bag a “small” win, taking home $25,000 for the session.
This result along with some other big wins would bring Ivey’s winnings for the week to about $1,300,000. Phil Ivey has long been one of poker’s best players, winning both online and offline, in tournaments and cash games. He is definitely one of the game’s greats and continues to prove it.
