The third leg of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour gets underway in Coventry today with many of Europe's top professionals heading to the midlands for a crack at the title.
The Coventry leg is a four day affair at the new G Casino in the city. A £550 buy-in looks set to attract a good number of players to the 300 player capacity cardroom. The £100,000 guarantee for the event looks under serious threat.
Day 1a starts today at 2pm with the final taking place on Sunday April 11. Three side events are on offer as well, with £100, £200 and £300 freezeouts looking very affordable.
Last time out, Zoeri Zandvliet defeated Jack Ellwood heads up to take the Manchester crown, while Irish legend Padraig Parkinson took down the opening event in Galway at the end of last year.
