Richard Chase - The year was 1988, and Richard Chase was heads up with non other than Johnny Moss, the first ever WSOP champion himself. Moss and Chase sat at the table and duked it out in a game most of today's poker players may never heard of: Limit Ace to Five Draw (apparently there was a no limit version as well?). In the end Moss proved his dominance with the win, but Chase managed a 1988-princly sum of $60k.
Recently Chase was back in the action, at the 2006 World Series of Poker. Taking 7th place in the Pot Limit Hold'em event (Event #3), he won almost what he did for second nearly 20 years ago; and I bet he doesn't use a facial moisturizer or lacquer his nails, either.
Here are some of Richard Chase's victories, including his second place finish in 1988- which, when you consider it was Johnny Moss he was facing, is as good as a win.
