FTOPS X Event # 2- $240 + $16 PL Omaha Knockout - $200,000 Guaranteed held on November 6th, 2008 at Full Tilt Poker saw an impressive turnout with 1165 players showing up to play this knockout tourney. This figure beat the number of 1138 players who turned up for FTOPS IX Event # 2 in August 2008. The only difference being the fact that in FTOPS IX the Event 2 was played for PL Omaha/8 while this time Full Tilt Poker changed it to PL Omaha.
The buy in was $240 + $16, with $40 counting a bounty on the player and the rest going to the prize pool. This resulted in the prize pool of $ 233,000, which easily met the guaranteed amount of $200,000.
After battling it out for 7 hours 52 minutes, the event was won by a player using the "TeamShizzz", who won the first prize of $51,260 for his efforts along with $40 for each player that he busted on the way.
The Full Tilt Poker pros bettered their performance from the FTOPS X Event #1 this time, with Gary Jones making it to the final table and finishing 7th finally to pocket $6,757.
Only two more Full Tilt pros were able to make it in the money with Chip Jet coming 102nd and PearlJammed at 116th.
The consolation was the fact that many of the players who did not make it to the money still won some dollars by knocking out other players and gathering bounties.
The US Dominance at the FTOPS continued, with 6 out of the top 9 players, including the winner being from USA.
