WSOP Update Day 36 - Brits' Guns Still Blazing

The British invasion of the 2010 World Series of Poker is continuing its domination of events before the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Championship main event starts on Monday.

Trickett and Adeniya Deep in Event #52

Sam Trickett and Martins Adeniya are flying the British flag high in Event #52: $25,000 No Limit Hold'em Six Handed. Day three is just beginning in Las Vegas with Trickett third in chips and Adeniya in twelfth.

Both players are guaranteed to cash (for at least $58,699) after John Juanda burst the bubble at the end of day two.

Bryn Kenney takes the chip lead into the day as the remaining eighteen players hunt down the first prize of $1,315,518.

The British pros will be high on confidence going into day three, both cashing considerably in this year's World Series. Adeniya came ninth in Event #26: $2,500 No Limit Hold'em Six Handed for $40,547. Trickett is having a storming 2010 World Series, cashing in five events so far, falling short of another British bracelet coming second in Event #17: $5,000 No Limit Hold'em for $505,725.

Strong Start For Akenhead in Event #55

James Akenhead, who last year made last year's November Nine, has made a great start to Event #55 $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship. He starts day two of the three day event third in chips. The field is littered with British players looking to take down the coveted championship event, with Joe Beevers, Barny Boatman, Neil Channing, the Devilfish, John Kabbaj and Ben Roberts also after the first prize of $780,599.

Gardner Sixth in Event #50

Julian Gardner has made his first mark on the 2010 World Series of Poker coming sixth in the $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha for $91,387. Gardner is most known for coming second in the 2002 World Series Main Event, which made him the youngest player (at the time) to win over $1 million in the event.
