Dane Jesper Hougaard won the first WSOPE bracelet of the year when he saw off the other 409 entrants to win the first prize of £144,218.
Hougaard saw off Englishman Fuad Serhan heads-up in an incredibly lucky final hand.

Fuad Serhan had the button he raised to 120,000, Jesper Hougaard moved all in and Serhan called. Serhan had Ace King of clubs and Hougaard had Ace Jack of diamonds.
Although Hougaard is initially dominated, the flop is utterly perfect for Hougaard, coming down 10,6,5 all diamonds giving him the nut flush and leaving Serhan drawing dead.
He becomes the first person to win one bracelet in Las Vegas and one in London during the same WSOP. Fuad Serhan earns £89,175 for his runner-up finish.

Hougaard has already had an incredible year including three cashes in the WSOP in June, including a bracelet win in the $1,500 No Limit
Hold'em event which he took a first prize of $610,304. However this win will surely be the cherry on the top as he has now won not one but two
bracelets on two different continents and just 3 months apart, a magnificent effort.

"Well, winning your first bracelet is always special. Winning in Vegas was unbelievable because I had such a big cheering section - all of my friends
were there to cheer me on, so that was huge for me. But this is really big as well. This shows that I'm not a one hit wonder." said Hougaard

There were some big names who entered the tournament, Canadian poker star Daniel Negreanu finishing 24th, but the big name who made the final table was
Englishman Neil "Bad Beat" Channing who was the big home town hope to win the bracelet, unfortunately for him he finished in 4th place but still won a big prize of £44,588.
